The Mercy Peace Medal

The New Jersey Community of Mercy Sisters will strike a Medal for Peace as a way to encourage education and the practice of peacemaking and non-violent behavior in schools and parishes where sisters and associates work. Any adult or child who meets the Peacemaker criteria is eligible to receive the award.

The Mercy Peace Medal will celebrate the individual efforts of individuals who spread peace and help and promote non-violent actions in their daily lives. A packet of materials, including the criteria for the award and suggested ways to include this effort in local planning efforts, is available through Sr. Peter Damian at 609-386-0483.
