The Sisters of Mercy, Regional Communities of New Jersey, New York, and Brooklyn have caught the attention of numerous media outlets in the metropolitan area. The December 1999 introduction of our marketing program for the recruitment of new members resulted in: A segment on ABC-TV's Nightline on Thursday, November 23, 2000. The news piece explored the marketing campaign as well as the life of Sr. Lisa Gambacorto. Sr. Lisa spoke about why she became a nun, and why religious life and her vows continue to be a fulfilling life choice. A page 1 story in the NEW YORK TIMES, National Edition on January 16, 2000 (circulation 1.6 million) that ran close to 90 column inches and included reproductions of two of our current recruitment posters.
