ZEST FOR LIFE



Sister Virginia McGarry of the New Jersey Regional Community was honored as a graduate of St. Peter’s Elementary and High School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on November 19, 2005.  She received the Msgr. James A. Harding Award for distinguished service to the Church and Community.  Sister Virginia is currently in retirement at McAuley Hall Health Care Center in Watchung, New Jersey.  At 97, she holds the distinction of being the oldest Sister of Mercy in the New Jersey region.  Her ministry over the years has included teaching religion and geography on the elementary level and service as a Parish Visitor at St. Mary of the Lake, in Lakewood, New Jersey.
