Mercy Associate Commissioning May 20, 2001—The Sisters of Mercy in the Regional Community of New Jersey will welcome sixteen new Mercy Associates at a commissioning ceremony May 20 in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at Mount Saint Mary, Watchung. The new associates are: Lois Bachonski, Roderic Bendel, Eleanor Brennan, Dolores Chevalier, Gina Donath, Bettina Dubas, Marylou Jacoby, Sharyn Jordan, Bernadine Liebrich, Ruth Mazzarella, Janet Miller, Clair Mullen, Gloria Ryan, Madeline Thornton, Sheila Tynday and Karen Yochim. Mercy Associates make a commitment through a formal covenant with a Mercy Regional Community while maintaining an independent lifestyle. They join the Community for prayer and spiritual enrichment opportunities and support various ministries.
